Legislative Action

From the start we have realized that power for change lies in local politics. We have launched email campaigns and testified at several forums and hearings on issues we would like to see changed. We were part of the RPS coalition, a group of environmental groups from Delaware that voiced support for the new RPS in January/February of 2021. This came into fruition with senate bill 33 which raised the target for renewable energy from 25% to 40% by 2035. With the recent work on community solar legislation, this is expected to be raised to 50%. We have several projects in the works and plan to be involved with the legislative process well into the future. For more information or questions, please contact us!
